PETALING JAYA & QINGYUAN, CHINA SIGNS MOU

The MOU was signed on 25th November 2016 at the city of Qingyuan, China. This Friendship City relationship will benefit both parties in the following:

– City Management and Planning

– Education

– Culture and Tourism

– Business and Trade

– Sports Development

Based on the guidelines set by the Goverment of China, any activities under the Friendship City programs can only be executed after two years from the date of signing. In the mean time, both MBPJ and Qingyuan City Council will maintain regular contact and plan for the future programs that will benefit both cities. Pray for the best!

PRODUCT EXCHANGE ENFORCES THE RELATIONSHIP OF FRIENDSHIP CITY PROGRAM PJ – BANDUNG

PETALING JAYA, 7 OCT: The relationship between PJ and Bandung, Indonesia reaches a new high with the launch of Little Bandung Kiosk at Paradigm Mall, Kelana Jaya recently.

Mayor of Petaling Jaya, Mohd Azizi Mohd Zain said, the Little Bandung kiosk showcases the unique products and souvenirs which reflects the third largest city in Indonesia. And on top of that, PJ’s products will also be brought to Bandung in the near future.

The event was also attended by the Mayor of Bandung, Mochamad Ridwan Kamil and Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia, Herman Prayitno.

ASAN CITY OFFICIAL VISIT

In the efforts to strengthen international ties, Petaling Jaya through the efforts of MBPJ’s International Relations Unit has achieved to sign the Sister City agreement with Asan, South Korea. Asan’s Sister City visit to Petaling Jaya is an effort to strengthen the relationship and plan for the future projects that lie ahead. No specific project is committed at the time of writing, however, 2017 will most likely see the fruition of the Sister City bond between both cities will come to life. Watch this space!
